Pamela. I had dental work Nov. 7, 2000. I had the same affects as your describing. Heavy feeling on the right side of my face. Pressure from the back of my head to the front of my head. Right eye vision problem and my left leg felt numb. Severe head aches. The numbness to the face and head was immediate the rest followed. I also had a cat scan and spinal tap. The emergency room thought I may have menengitis. I finally had a MRI done and they found a clot close to my corotid artery but the vein leading off it. I was admitted to the hospital and started me on blood thinners. I will have another MRI in 5 weeks and hopefully the clot will be gone because it is to life threatening to have an operation. This is my experience which started with a dental appointment, but my symptons are very much like yours. You may need to have another opinion on your MRI. Request a MRA, this is when they inject a dye and follow it. Good Luck, Please respond if you have any information for me. I don't want to be on blood thinners and heart medication for the rest of my life. (My blood pressure also soared).
