: How are women dealing with LCIS? I am being put on tamoxifen and going off HRT. I need a support at this moment and know that those of you out there who have gone through this understand better than doctors. I have 5 sites being watched by my radiologist. Thank you for your kindness
people deal with this usually depending on the opinion of their doctor lobular cancer instu the cancer is usually taken care of by the surgery, usually lumpectomy, but some opt for masectomy if they have other risks factors(such as high incidence of breast cancer in family) tamoxifen is always given for this diagnosis. you had to go off the hormone replacement therapy because there have been some studies which states that increases your risks of breast cancer. if your doctors are watching you closely and you can deal with the stress of this you will probably be ok with that plan. make sure you'r in the hands of a breast surgeon, there are hospitals that have specific breast centers with breast surgeons who are best at picking up subtle changes
