: My mother is 63 years old. It is non small cell. This is not a small town hospital, it is the University of Virginia. i am sorry i looked for the name of the drug i cannot find where i saw it. i did look for you and if it were my mother i would take her to memroial sloan kettering in ny, they have a leve 2 study going on with thalidomide(i think i spelled it wrong) but the important thing is its aimed at returning non small cell, its a leve 2(so they are past the question of toxic doses) and its an antiangioangensis drug(which i am sure you have heard of) it probably has a good chance of stopping the growth.ny is not that far for you.the massey cancer center by you has some going on with regular chemo agents, paclixel, cisplatin. also the antiangiogensis drugs aren't suppose to be as toxic as the chemo drugs, she may handle that fine. good luck, sorry i couldn't find the name, but i think you need to go to some clinical trial. the one at memorial sloan looks really good
