: My mother is 63 years old. It is non small cell. This is not a small town hospital, it is the University of Virginia.

I wish I could say something to you that could help. I lost my sister to non-small-cell-lung-cancer a year ago.She just turned 64.My sisters had a very large tumor in her right lung and they could not operate, because of where the tumor was in her lung. She had radiation treatments (32)but they didn't offer chemo, and she wouldn't take it anyhow. So in the meantime the cancer spread. She only lasted 5 months after being diagnosed with lung cancer. I was with her through out this horrible disease. I wish I could tell you what to do, but I can't. I can only tell you to be there for your mother. I was there for my sister and it meant a lot to her. You are in my prayers.
