: My father will be undergoing chemo for Head and Neck Cancer in the next couple of weeks. My mom saw something on the news that said you shouldn't take vitamin C while undergoing chemo. I have not heard about this, but if you have please respond.

I have heard that you should not take any antioxidents when on radiation therapy as it lessens the effects of the radiation. The same may be true with Vitimin C or E in Chemo. You should check with your pharmacist and see if he/she can help. I always find them very knowledgeable. Also check with the dr. I think this could be important.
