: About three months ago I found two pea sized lumps behind my ear on the mastoid bone. I went to a ENT he told me it was a swollen lymph node and not to worry well I am still worried these have not gotten any bigger. He told me that it felt benign.Should i still worry ? And how can anyone tell if it is benign?please someone help me!!
my sixteen year old son had two pea size lumps, one behind each ear, we took him to the doctor and they did a blood count to rule out any blood disorder, that came back normal and we were still worried so we took him to an ent who said they same thing it felt beningn, but we had him biopsy it, and it was bening something called beningn follicular hyperplasia. the lumps were right on his mastoid also. he just made a little incision did the biopsy right in his office and popped them out. it was easy!!
