My close friend was in radiation for colon cancer, after they removed it. The burns on his buttocks were blistered and painful. The only thing he could do to get relief was a sit bath with a touch of epsom salt. He did this three to five times a day. It was the only time he could relax. Be careful with the tempature of the water, get it how you feel comfortable. He said lukewarm was best.
Keep an ongoing , forward attitude also. Things seemed hard, but after time, even the taste of lead in food will go away. Although he is still sore at times, a year later, his attitude and hobbies have kept him active, and happy. Friends are a good healer also.
