: Hi ,I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and I had a mastectomy two weeks ago.The next stage of
: treatment for me is chemo.Does anyone have any advice about tolerating chemo?Would love to hear
: from others who have done it ,too.

I have been undergoing chemo since January, and I will start radiation next week. There are side effects, but there are also medicines to relieve any discomfort you may experience. Losing your hair is something that is distressing, but it will grow back (I'm looking forward to that time). After radiation, I will have 4 more chemo treatmenst and then tamoxifen for 5 years. I know it sounds difficilt, which it is, but we have to do what is necessary to save our lives. If you are facing this-you will make it. Just keep thinking about how much you will have to live for in the future.
