: : : Are there any other small cell lung cancer survivors reading this board? If so, I'd like to hear from you.not a survivor, but I believe angio/endostatin should be used.
: Vigilante, I was given paraplatin, etoposide, and decadron for six months in l994. I have checkups every four months--but I'm still well!I'm not familiar with the substances you are recommending.

Sari-
I have a type of cancer that is similar to small cell lung cancer. I currently have tumors in my right lung. I have undergone numerous treatments of chemo and radiation. I have also had a lobectomy and wedge resection of both lungs. I am currently on topotecan chemo and taking thalidomide daily. The trial drugs that vigilante talked about are hard to get into and have a long waiting list. I am currently on a waiting list for the endostatin trial in Boston. Also it is a phase I trail so there is no data to prove that it works on humans. I believe he is jumpiing the gun to suggest that everyone take these drugs. They are phase I trial drugs. No one knows what they could do to you. First, anyone diagnoised should try the treatment that has has some success rate before trrying something experimental. I wish you luck.
