In Reply to: Mother's Day-- A poem posted by Kristine on May 04, 2000 at 05:34:55:

: THE DAY GOD CALLED YOU HOME...

: God looked around his Garden and found and an empty place.
: He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.
: He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
: His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
: You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide.
: You live on through your family, you're always by our side.
: It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.
: For part of us went with you on the day God called you home.

: My name is Kristine. I found this on the net somewhere. I lost my beautiful mother 10 months ago to uterine cancer. The pain is still heavy as the day she passed, but this poem has brought me great comfort. Approaching my first mother's day without her will be devasting, but we find comfort in what we can. My step-mother just recovered from breast cancer and now she is cancer free. There is hope and love and prayer helps. I am 25 years old and got alot of support from friends, and I would like to share with anyone who wants to talk. I've been there.

Kristine,
Your poem is beautiful. It made me cry! My mother has ovarian cancer and it is so hard to live with. The thought of losing her
is just so devistating. She has been fighting for three years now and so far she is a survivor! Thank the Lord.

It is brave of you to share your feelings with us in your mother's loss.

God Bless,
Natalie
