: I am so glad for you that your mom and you have the assurance of where she is going after this life...that does help so much! But she will have perfect peace then, and I know you will have the sadness. Be sure to talk about it and let it out as it comes up, both before and after!!!
: I bought a plant with white blossoms in my mother's memory as soon as she died and when I look at it, I think of her white as snow, in Christ forever. It comforts me.
: Nothing can replace a mother, but our God WILL be your comfort and help.
: As for the trips she desires, can you ask the doctor if she can travel? You may be surprised.
: If the doc approves, then I encourage you to go ahead. She may be tired, but happy.
: But, if she absolutely cannot travel, then perhaps you can arrange a conference call to loved ones and/or get out all the pictures for her to look at. Maybe get a travel video of the areas she would love to visit again. You can make this transition memorable for her and in the process, you will be making memories of being there for her that will comfort you after she is gone. I know this helped me get through my mom's passing.
: Ask the Lord to help you get creative...He will help you.
Carol, Thank you for the beautiful letter. I am sorry for the lose of your mother. And yes it is hard knowing she is dying, but I do trust in God to take care of her in the hereafter.
We are still discussing taking the trip to Arkansas to see one of her two remaining cousins. The other trip was to visit the graves of her grandparents. So that one can be put off. But I really would like for her to make the trip to see her cousin. They have always been close, and the cousin is unable to travel at all. When my brother comes down for Memorial Day he is bringing his video camera and do a lot of filming of mom and the family. His wife has a website for our Fuller/Lane family and has alot of good pictures already on there.
Well once again thank you and may God bless your every day.
