My husband had a dark red/blackish spot on his lower lip. I keeped nagging him to go in and have it checked out. It didnt hurt him or cause any problems either. He went to a Dermatologist to have it checked out and they said they beleived it to be broken blood vessels in his lip. So they numbed his lip and removed it in the office. He only had 2 stitched and he was only a little sore aterward. They did a biospy of it and it turned out to be only broken blood vessels. Go to a dermatologist and have it checked out to be on the safe side.
