: Yesterday I discoved a lump that I hadn't noticed before in my breast. It is red and painful. I'm going to go to the doctor next week to check it out. I'm concerened because I just found out about ayear go that cancer runs high in my family. I'm only 32. How concerned should I be about this? Thanks

abreast cancer isn't usually red/ and or painful. if you have a high incidince of breast cancer in your family you should talk to your doctor about that though. its more likely if its red and painful its some type of an infection.
