: : I have a friend who was just diagnosed with smallcell carcinoma. I am trying to get her some support. I hooked her up on the internet but we are both pretty illiterate at finding support groups. I m glad i found you. If any one has any good links to send me we would both appreciate it. God bless you all

: Make sure your friend has an oncologist who is experienced with small-cell, as it is not the predominant type. Also, for a free copy of "fighting Cancer" by Richard Bloch, call Cancer Hotline, 800-433-0464. I'm a small-cell lung cancer survivor, and I wish your friend the very best of luck. from Sari

Kris,
My father has small cell and I would strongly suggest you look into a new procedure that has been discovered. There are several articles written on this procedure. it involves a probe-
no chemo etc... you can go to Jackson Mississippi university medical center- click on search and type in Sewell- you can try http:umcnews.com I have talked to Dr. Sewell's nurse and feel this is definitely worth looking into. Email me if I can be of help. Melva
