Dear Lisa:

Always remember that BC is not an "automatic death sentence."

One of your mother-in-laws chemo drugs that she was to take was most likely Adriamycin. This drug is hard on the heart as Natalie posted.

However, chemo treatment usually is a cocktail mix of drugs and there are many available. Your mother-in-law will likely be administered other chemo drugs which aren't so toxic to the heart.
