My dad had the stricture put in a couple of weeks ago. He was diagnosed about 8 months ago of esophageal cancer, and after chemo/radiation he was o.k. But then the cancer turned up on his spine, liver, and now in the brain. After all this time, he began having problems with his throat again, and was choking again, so had the stricture put in, and it's been causing him great pain. Also, tremendous acid has to be controlled since the flap deal is gone on the bottem of his esophagus. He is down to 129 lbs. He thinks in a couple of days he'll be able to start eating again. So sorry to hear what you're going through.
