: : : I'm looking for someone who has had the drug topotecan
: : : for as many courses as my wife has had. She has had 44
: : : courses since 1998, and have been advised by dr. to come off treatment, would like to hear from someone else you is taking or has recently came off drug. And information on why you came off.

: : DonJoe,
: : My mother is being treated for ovarian cancer. I will ask her if she had received this treatment. Currently she is on Taxol. It seems to be working as her CA125 is going down.
: : This is my mother's second reoccurrence. She was diagnosed three years ago w/ stage 3 ovarian cancer. What stage is your wife in? I will write back. Please keep in
: : touch and good luck. Remember, God will give you your hearts desire, keep praying.

: : God Bless,

Thanks for your reply Natalie
My wife had stage 3 ovarian also, she was on taxil and coboplatin for 8 courses after her first surgery but went for second look and found more cancer, had 2nd surgery and has been on topotecan ever since. Can't find anyone who has had as many courses 44,
Now the Dr. is afraid of bone marrow shutting down and wants us to consider going off before problem starts , were trying to find people who have had topotecan for a long time and why they came off of it or what there Dr. told them about it and it's effect on bone marrow and other problems.
