: : Just had a lumpectomy a few weeks ago...stage 1`, grade 2 ductal invasive...Oncologist has prescribed Tamoxifen but after reading many side effects I am hesitant about taking it. Radiation treatment will start in a few weeks. I would like to know what the odds are if I do not take tamoxifen. Will appreciate any helpful reply.Thankyou.
: your odds are very good. the only reason they are perscribing tamoxifen is to prevent a reoccurence. it will cut your odds of a reoccurence or perhaps a more agressive type by 50% what side effects are concerning you? there are herbal supplements you could try , but they don't have the evidence behind them that tamoxifen does.
Dear JM Lynch:
You should look at biopulse.com. If you are considering chemo, you should check out BioPulse BEFORE you do the chemo. First stage breast cancer is one of their very highest remission rates. Their therapies are non-toxic and scientifically cutting edge. They will put you in touch with their patients and ex-patients if you like.
