Hi, My name is Hutch -my dad just underwent chemo, followed up by surgery, for colo-rectal cancer. At this point he is a little over one-month recovering from surgery and he is having an awfully hard time falling to sleep, partly because of the dull -but steady- joint paint in his knees and ankles.
I'm obviously wanting to help him, as would any of you for one of your parents; but all I can think of is recommending the usuage of -good marijuana- to aid him. He's taking sleeping pills but they aren't really working and we both agree he's had enough chemicals blasting through him from chemo that adding more pharmaceutical concoctions isn't the prefferred route.
He's never smoked marijuana and I do from time to time, it is hard to offer marijuana as a health boosting aid to him because our relationship is one where we don't really speak of these kind of matters, if that makes any sense.
So, I'm looking for some advice, and especially some information on how usful marijuana has been with yourself, or a loved one, during recovery?
Feel free to e.mail me if you don't want to reply here.
Thanks for your time,
