: there are two new drugs for relapsed small cell lung cancer. one is hu901-dm1 made by immunogen with their tap technology. that means it binds to the tumor and is activated by it. in the lab it irradicated sclc for more than 200 days which is better then etopside and cisplatin do. trials are expected to begin by the end of the year.
: the other drug is called zd0473 it is a third generation new platimum based compound made to get around the resistance factor that sclc eventually gets to the current platimum compounds. level 2 trials are currently in progress in some of the major cancer centers. you have to have relapsed once from traditional platinum therapy to be eligible for this.
Rosalita, I want to express my appreciation for the information that you share with those of us who do not have your extensive knowledge of cancer care and cancer drugs. Thank you so much. It is very helpful.
