: : Hi,

: : I have searched everywhere on the net trying to find information for my friend about PLASMACYTOMA. There isnt a whole lot out there. The doc tells him that it's a rare form of cancer. Any information would be greatly appreciated as this is his wife who has it..she is 36 years old and in horrible pain. Just from brief conversations with him he has said that it "eats the bone"..she has tumors that have grown into her spine and vertabrae..is on high doses of morphine and starts chemo tomorrow. My friend said that she "was" 5'11 (tall) and now she is 5'8...what is this horrible cancer and what if anything can be done. If chemo doesnt work..she has 6-9 months to live. I hope there is someone out there who has some information anything at all..please..

: : Thank you,

: the mayo clinic has a site designated to diseases that fall in this catagory.(its about the research they have been doing its called monoclonal gamopathy. i don't know what its about but if you do a search with plasmocytoma you'll find the site, appearently its tumors made up of canerous plasma cells.

HI,

Thank you very much..I'm going there now.

Thanks again.

Kim
