My mother told me that my father has polyps in his colon, and that he's going to have them removed and then he should be fine.
My father is 65 years old and I know that he's not in the best of health. He smokes and drinks, even when the doctor has told him not to and he eats the worst food a person at his age could possibly eat. I don't think he's going to change. I don't think he realizes what all this means to his body.
I'm just not sure of what polyps means? Does that mean that he has cancer? And with his eating and drinking and smoking won't they just come back?
I know my old man can't be the only hard headed geezer around, someone out there has to be dealing with this too. What are his chances of surviving this?
I mean, after the cancer is removed will he be cured than? Cancer does come back though right? I cold really use some answers.
I'd really appreciate it if someone culd let me know what to expect with all this.
