: My father was diagnosed with liver cancer a couple of months ago. The doctor has told him that it's advanced and there is nothing to be done. I need someone who has been through a similar situation or know someone who has, to give me hope, and that there is a way to cure his cancer. He is 50 and a very stubborn man, he is very depressed, and just wants to be left to die. He is affraid of getting a second opinion. Help...
: Any response will be appreciated.

I can sympathize with you. My dad just found out 2 weeks ago that he has liver cancer. His is not that advanced, but is inoperable because of its location. He is going to have a balloon procedure done where the kind of put a balloon in the liver and burn out the cancer cells. It is so heartbreaking to see all of this happen. Have you discussed any other options with the doctor at all? Definitely seek another opinion on this.
Good luck.
