I hope this isn't too dumb of a question. My husband and I are giving donations in people's names for Christmas gifts this year. We have different organizations in mind for different people. There are a couple folks for whom we'd like to give donations to cancer research (they are stuggling with cancer now). #1 is this a dumb idea... do you think they would appreciate it? #2 is there any organization that would be better to donate to than others? any to avoid? seems the only one I've really heard of is American Cancer Society. Any help appreciated
