: My father was diagnosed with liver cancer a couple of months ago. The doctor has told him that it's advanced and there is nothing to be done. I need someone who has been through a similar situation or know someone who has, to give me hope, and that there is a way to cure his cancer. He is 50 and a very stubborn man, he is very depressed, and just wants to be left to die. He is affraid of getting a second opinion. Help...
: Any response will be appreciated.

My brother-in-law has stage IV melanoma of the liver. He is 54. Call Alleghany Hospital in Pittsburg. They have many treatment programs available to treat liver cancer. This does not have to be a death sentence if treated early enough. It can be controlled with agressive treatment. Good luck and God Bless you and your Dad
