: I hope this isn't too dumb of a question. My husband and I are giving donations to different organizations in people's names as Christmas gifts. For a couple of folks (who are now struggling with cancer), we would like to give donations for cancer research. #1 is this a good idea? do you think they would appreciate it? #2 is there an organization that would be better to donate to than others? any to avoid? It seems the only one I've heard of is American Cancer Society.
: any info appreciated
Hi, my wife had breast cancer, the A C S people were wonderful, lots of support, the doctor cut her breast off. Maybe this was the best way to help her. But what I have against them is they never look into the cause of cancer, or ever suggested a way to keep from haveing an other bout with cancer. They are only into chemo. cut. or rad. they never address the posible cause that it could be a diet related problem. After reading many books about the bodys emmune system and it's the only thing to keep you from getting cancer, I think they are just wasting the money they are given. There will never be a magic pill or what ever, they don't want to find the cure for cancer they all would be out of a job. Its all about$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ , when your body is out of ballance, or you abuse it with all the junk that we put in it, there should be a wakeup call to all the american people, and the Cancer S. is not the one that will be doing It.
