My father recently died of kidney cancer, which had spread into the abdominal area and lungs. At the moment of death, there was a large gush of blackish liquid from his mouth and nose. As he died at home, and there were no medical staff there at the time, we were all very distressed by this. Can anyone please explain what this liquid was, and was it likely that he had already died when this took place or did death follow this expulsion of blackish liquid?
Thank you!
