Please respond, I really need some advice on this: My mother, who is in her mid 40's, has been having persistent, rather severe stomach pains in one side of her body. She has also felt nausea, becomes tired very quickly, and she eats more than she used to. She drinks coffee and takes baby aspirin daily, and gets little sleep from working at night. I think she is really at risk, since my grandmother died from stomach cancer, but she refuses to get checked, because I think she is afraid to hear the worst. What is the possibility that this is an ulcer, and not cancer? I've looked up every site on both, and the symptoms are very, very similar. I don't want to wait until it gets worse, and I'm having trouble convincing her to see a doctor.. If anyone has any advice or info, please email me. Thank you in advance.
