During January and February of 1996, I under went 360 hours of chemotherapy and over 100 radiation treatments,each for a duration of 30 to 45 seconds at high rads, for a 4cm squamicell tumor on the under side of my tonque. During the actual treatment I experienced a permanent loss of my saliva glands and beard in areas where I was radiated and,my skin became sore and red around the radiated area of my face. The treatment was so severe I was given about 40% chance of recovery? not because of the tumor,but rather the treatment. I chose this radical form of treatment because had they operated,I would have lost over half of my tonque and I make my living on the telephone.
Last November I was fortunate to meet the people with bio2 Cosmeceuticals and the Oxy-Mist Treatment Program. I received my first Oxy-Mist Treatment and I could not believe the relief I felt Immediately afterwards. especially on my lips which were always cracked and sometimes bleading no mater what I tried.The treatment was effective for several days.
