: Could you please explain how a person can get paid for being a family member's caregiver? Dept. of Rehabilitation pays for someone to care for my husband 27 hours per week, but it can't be me as it is to be the opportunity I need for a break. Could you explain please. By the way, I'm new to this board--hope I've done this right. well, what i did was applied to be my daughters caregiver cause they couldnt provide a qualified caregiver for her. since she was over 21, i could do this. i have a full time job. we figured my hrs to be at nite.
