I've been caring for my 81 year old husband for over a year now. His cancer spread to his bones. He was diagnosed prostate cancer, candidate for radiation about five years ago. He never did anything about it until Nov. '98. Does anyone out there have a similar experience? His urologist put him on a series of pills the main one being cortef. He also is taking nizoral and pepcid. He was on morphine but later was put on oxycontin which we stopped all together. He has very little pain. I would like to hear about someone elses experience. I keep a journal in order for me to remember what transpired yesterday, etc. I have a good forgetter. I thank God I have a family that helps me. Plus we have hospice which is wonderful. How do other people cope I'm wondering. Am I the only one that finds this experience frustrating?
