My husband is 74, he is about 75 lbs. overweight, over the past 20 years he has had his hip replaced twice. He is diabetic and takes insulin. He has made himself into practically an invalid because he won't lose weight or do any kind of exerise. He just sits all day and reads or watches T.V. He now is having a hard time walking.

I am 66 years old and in pretty good shape considering that I too have had a few health problems over the last 3 years. But, I have always tried to eat right and exercise. I also have a 91 year old mother that has failing health, she is trying to do as much as she can to help herself and my brothers and I help her also.

A few years ago my doctor told me that if my husband lost weight and did some exercises that he probably wouldn't have to take insulin.

I feel great anger towards him because he doesn't do anything to help me. I do all the household chores, cooking, shopping and yard work. He just will not do anything. I have had thyroid problems, atrial fib., fatigue, and had to have a pacemaker inplanted last year.

I know my anger is not good for me and I try to go with friends occassionaly to get out. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?
