: I'M A SINGLE,UNEMPLOYED LADY, AGE 57, WHO IS LEFT WITH THE ENTIRE LOAD OF LOOKING AFTER MY 82 YEAR OLD PARENT,WHILE THE REST OF THE FAMILY WHO LIVES JUST 50 MILES AWAY, STAY AWAY AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE AND DON'T ATTEMPT TO CONTRIBUTE MONETARILY OR TIMEWISE TO THE SITUATION. THEY ALL HAVE MONEY AND COULD HELP OUT AT LEAST UNTIL I AM ABLE TO GET SOMEKIND OF JOB. I'M WONDERING HOW I AM GOING TO SURVIVE AND SUPPORT MYSELF
: WHILE CARRYING THE FULL LOAD OF CAREGIVING.DOES ANYONE
: HAVE AN OPINION ABOUT THE FAIRNESS OR UNFAIRNESS HERE?
Unfortunately, you will have to spell out exactly what you want/need from other family members. A schedule for them would be a good idea. Don't wait for them to ask, they assume you will do it as you always have. You must TELL THEM what to do. Don't burn yourself out, you must have a life too. They do! Also, don't feel guilty....you ARE a good daughter.
Been there.....
