: : My Boyfriend lost his arms and legs due to a bacterial infection. I have a four year 4 year old and we have a 2 month old. We bought a house together 2 months ago to make things easier for us. The stress I am feeling is unmeasurable. I work almost full time and am trying to run a house with a disabled person and two small children. His illness happened 5 months ago. So everthing is so new. There are a thousand Drs appointments... surgeries.. etc... I feel like I am going to lose it. The enjoyment I feel is very rare now. I could use any advise or help offered...

: Dear Chelle,
: When I read you post, I put my head into my hands and prayed that the Lord will hold you close, guide you and show you the way to take in this horrific situation. First, I am sure the social worker thru the hospital can give you good advise, if you are a member of a church, go see your minister, and there's help there. Also check into Social Security Disability and see whats available...your youngest child will probably be eligible, too. Your BF is probably eligible for Home Health Care, too. Your Physican can be of help here.
: Does he have siblings, parents or close friends that would be willing to help, if needed?
: You cannot shoulder all of this, so you MUST make provisions to get all the help you can. If you don't, someone will be having to care for you and the children, too. Surely wish I had miracle answers for you, but don't. I am a caretaker for my 7l year old husband with Parkinsons and Dementia, but what an easy task in relation to yours. I will continue to pray for you and your little family. Please keep us posted. Should you want to email me....fcmdavis@aol.com
: Blessings and prayers for you.
: Betty D.

Thank you for your prayers Betty.. It is funny how some days are worse than others. It looks like I will be able to cut back on work. Thank goodness..Dannys caseworker is so wonderful and helpful. She doesn't stop to help us with caregiving funds etc..
