: : : I also had a "botched" carpal tunnel surgery. I was injured at work and in addittion to the nerve damage i also had severely torn ligaments. When the DR. did my surgery for carpal tunnel, my whole wrist basically fell apart. 3 DR.'s and 15 surgeries later I am still in constant pain and have almost no use of my right arm. Please, if you have to go to another DR., go to the best DR. you can find, and DON'T be afraid to ask around. Ask anyone you can think of and if at all possible, please don't let anyone else cut on you. I would hate to think of more people like me out there who are in unbearable pain, with no way to work and getting more depressed by the day. In the end all you have is your health--fight to find the best DR. you can!!!! Try vitamins and therapy also. Good Luck!!!

:In March of 2000, I had bi-lateral carpal tunnel release...it is now May 23rd and I have had nothing but pain and suffering since my surgery..Mine too is work related...I have had lots of swelling on the outsides of my wrists, my hands are swollen most of the time and unbearable pain in my hands...My doctor states that I am getting better, but I truely am not... In fact, yes the surface tissue has healed, but deap inside I am in agony... My doctor and therapist (which are in the same office) tell me often that it is muscle pain that I am feeling in my arms...I have pain that carries all the way up in my shoulders and down to my fingers...I wish you all the best....Please anyone that reads this....Get yourself a very good surgeon that cares about his patients and ask him the risks of this surgery.
