: A couple of months ago I started getting numbness in forearm and hand - doctor indicated it was probably CTS and suggested use of splint. More recently I have been getting numbness also in upper arm. Could this still be CTS? If not, what (pinched nerve, tendonitis)? Treatment? : Nina, I was recently diagnosed with bilateral carpal tunnel and thoracic outlet syndrome. My symptoms were the pain and numbness would start at my fingertips and go all the way up my arm into my shoulder and over my chest. Go to an Ortho and see if that's what you have.
