I had surgery on both my hands in January and March 1997. I had to go through PT for about 6 weeks after each surgery. I still try to do some of them. The one that I still do is to squeeze a tennis ball in each hand for 10 reps. The other one is to try to bend your hand up and hold it for about 10 secs. Then the next set of reps is to try to bend it down for about 10 secs. These help me a lot, and I use these same ones with FMS. I was off work the entire time. Of course I realize that people vary a lot, but I got released in June after the second surgery.
