The test is actually an EMG, I believe it is called an electomyogram. I had it done about 1 month ago. I started getting symptoms in my 7th month of pregnancy, baby was born 4/2000 and my ob/gyn said it was preg related and would go away after I had baBY...well it hasnt and since going back to work it has gotton worse, I am inclined to believe I got CTS from the keyboard/mouse at work...however the emg does not hurt just a but uncomfortable. They put electrodes on various parts of hand/wrist/forarm and then do insert 2 needles in the hand. My results showed I have moderate CTS and the neurologist gave me nortryptaline to take for 2mos and wear wrist braces that don't help. I think the pregnancy may have exasperated the CTS.
