: For almost two weeks now I have had aching in my wrist, going up into my middle finger mostly. This is only in my right-hand being the one which uses the mouse. Could it be repetitive stress or carpal or something else? I had no problem at home using my computer so this must surely be related to this new job that I started a few days prior to this problem. I have adjusted the height of my seat but the aching has not gone away. It aches during the night as well and driving a car and other activities hurts too. Any ideas?
try an ergonomic mouse (you move the ball of the mouse instead of the whole mouse) plus a gell pad that will keep your wrist in a neutral position.
see a doctor asap, some people don't get hit very hard with this syndrome but in others like myself
once it gets started it gets bad very quickly.
all of this should be covered by your employer's insurance or L&I.
