I have been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome and chronic wrist pain of my right hand. I have received 5 cordizone injections since February of this year, none of which have given me any relief for more than a week.
In the mid to late 1960's I had 3 surgeries on my right wrist. Two were to remove a ganglion and the third surgery was to take tissue from my groin and put in my hand because of a depression that was left in my wrist from the pervious surgery.
I would like to know if it is possible for me to be experience constant pain in my wrist due to these previous surgeries? Could I be having a problem with scar tissue? Can anyone tell me if there is any other procedure that can be done that would show why I am havng this pain? I have had numerous x-rays, a bone scan, and a nerve conductivity test. Is there a test that would show scar tissue problems?
Any insight would certainly be appreciated. My doctor doesn't seem to have any answers for me, except that I don't respond to the treatment as he would like.
