: Hi everyone,
: Today I woke up to numbness that won't go away. I have had numbness in the hand for awhile now with pain too of course. The Doctor told me I have nerve damage among other things and CTS is the cause. He says he is so booked up with surgeries but he says if someone cancels he will push me up. I am getting scared that my hand will never work again. Is this common with CTS for the numbness getting worse and not go away or is this the nerve damage and it can't be reversed? I need advice. I am on the B vitamins 100 mgs of each daily, I am wearing a splint and nothing helps. It seemed like the cortisone shot made it worse. Help me please, what should I do? I do not have any hands at this point the left one is in a cast awaiting surgery on the tendon and ligaments. Thanks, Raven
It is very common to have the numbness and it should go away with the surgery. Mine did.I couldn't do anything without my "hands falling asleep" but it got better after the surgery. Good luck!
