I've got an ergonomic mouse pad at work, and I have a gel pad at home. Neither helps. The motion of twisting your hand horizontal to use the mouse is what puts the strain on your hand and causes the pain. Until someone invents a mouse that works vertically, we'll be stuck with that. My advice? Find and use as many keyboard shortcuts as possible. You can tab down, or use arrow keys to scroll rather than holding the mouse. Alt + Tab will toggle between open windows rather than using the mouse to click on them. Alt + F4 will close an active window. Too many to list here. Find a book on your operating system and experiment with the shortcuts to ease up on that mouse.
: What can I do to assist... I ordered a glide point, will this help ? just my right hand has problems.. I have an ergomouse but no wrist pad right now.. it just gets sore and shit and shooting pains.. I stop with the mouse and the pain stops. Should I get a new desk for home also.. and ergonomic one?
