: I ho-pe you can all help me. I'm going to see a orthopedic surgeon on the 14th of this month about the cts surgery.
: Can you all tell me a little bit about the surgery? what would happen post op? do they make you wear a splint? a cast? what do they make you do? and how long before you can return to daily activities? i am 17 and work part time but am only a junior in high school.
: is it an outpatient type stay for the surgery?
: Thanks.

: Erica

Well, the surgery is a breeze. You'll be in and out in an hour, then you stay in recovery a bit but you'll be home that day. I had it done on both my hands and they will put an ace bandage on it or a splint with a bandage. It takes a full 6 weeks to heal but you'll be able to do things before that. Read some of the old posts on this board to find out more.Good luck!
