you were really lucky about the needle during the EMG. my dr started putting the needle in just below my elbow and worked his way down. the part that hurt the most was the triangle of skin between the thumb bone and the pointer finger bone.
i didn't look to see how far the dr put the needle in, but i don't think it was too deep. i think he was just injecting the cortisone into the carpal tunnel.
if it makes you feel any better one of my friends had instant relief after getting the cortisone shots.
