I am, also 17 years old and have been diagnosed with carpal tunnel in the last few months. Am going to see an orthopedic surgeon whom my neurologiat referred me to for the carpal tunnel surgery.
I've had the ct thing for awhile now but it got severely worse over the last few months and finally went and got it checked out and was of course diagnosed with severe c.t.
I am extremely unsure about this whole surgery thing and i also think that i will be having the in-office mini c.t. surgery which is a new technique my docs office uses I guess. I don't feel that people should ever say your to young as c.t. can happen in anyone at any age!
keep me updated. will post again with an update soon!
hi. i am a 17 year old female and i recently had the carpal tunnel operation on my right arm. they made incisions on my palm, my wrist, my forearm, and my bicep. they are planning on doing the operation to my left hand if it works. my pain started about a year ago and the doctors don't know how i got it at such a young age. i tried physical therapy and cortizone shots but nothing worked. i still have the stitches in from my surgery and i am scared that this won't work either. i just want some information on if the surgery has a good outcome, and if there are any other options for me. i appreciate the help!
