: I have severe pain in both thumbs.X-Rays show degnerative joint decease.Today I had a EMG test and the doctor said I have severe CTS. Now I'm confused as to the cause of the pain in my thumbs.is it CTS or Arthritus? Thanks for any replies
I had cts sugery on both hands and there still not back to normal. Dr says they are not going to get any better. A year after all this my thumbs started to hurt and found out I too have degnerative joint decease. The Dr. said that one usually follows the other and the only thing to do next is to have surgery on my thumbs.Wish I had better news for you, but at least you know another case like yours!Good Luck on your CTS.
