: Does anyone know about the limitations on driving? I drive a cab up to 12 hours a day, and planning to
: have surgery done on one or both wrists. I'm looking for information about how soon I'll be able to go
: back to work.
Hope you don't plan on driving a standard!!! If you have both of them done at the same time your not supposed to "grip" for about 6 weeks, but everybody is different. I know that if you start gripping before your healed properly, you can do more damage than what you had before the surgery. But if you where those braces you should be okay I imagine, but always check with your doctor. When I drive, I don't grip the steering wheel, instead I use my arms between the holes on the wheel, this is not recommended cause if you crash you can break your arms... I do it anyways because I would crash definatley if I tried to hold on to the steering wheel.
