: I have been suffering from CTS for years. I have had the nerve conduction tests, and splints made, cotizone shots, physical therapy, and chiopractic therapy. The CTS only bothers me after working long hours on a computer and building and remodeling work. I am running out of options and have consulted a surgeon about whether I am a canidate or not for the operation. I need my hands and I am terribly afraid about the surgery. Please advise
Well, I have had the surgery on both of my hands. my left just 3 weeks ago. it definitely helps and you will have use of your hands. some people's results are better then others.i still need to wear my braces at night and have no true strength in my hands, but the burning pain is gone.i say it is always worth a try. if yo do nothing, eventually you will have too much damage and lose the use of your hands.good luck and i hope this helps.
