what is so scary is, I've been typing for yrs & this is the 1st time i have experienced wrist pain and I am scared of the outcome. i told my supervisor at work a week ago of wrist strain because about a month plus ago i had been experiencing pain in my left wrist & hand and some on my right wrist now. i looked up carpal tunnel & ergonomics on the internet and found out the symptoms & the incorrect way of sitting while typing. my desk at work has been too high for me for typing for 5 plus months now and my work has never told me my desk should be lowered, etc etc. now i hope the damage hasn't been done. since i am a temp my agency will send me to a clinic to have me check out. and they will also notify my supervisor of my situation. they can't do anything against me because of this?? i like my job and need the steady income. but i wasn't sure how long before they get someone in to adjust my desk. i informed someone in my dept who deals w/ergonomics of my wrist strain and they measured my desk height. but i don't think they took it too seriously that i am really having wrist pain & it might be carpal tunnel. although i am not a employee of theirs, this company is a workers comp company. if they can nip in the bud now, are there wrist splints or something i can wear & still type?
