: my wife suffers from this,50 years old, right hand is the worst, she wears a brace every night. Her left hand is starting to do the same, sometimes she even drops things. We would like to know what her options are,and how good is the laser treatment? Thank you for any responce.........Mike G. : p.s. she uses a computer at work and she is very scared to have an operation thanks again Mike, she may try large doses of an anti inflammatory along with the braces. The next step is cortisone shots or surgery. The orthopedic surgeon that I am seeing for my CT explained to me that there is a greater risk of nerve damage with the laser surgery. So if your wife is contemplating surgery look at both the conventional and the laser. I would hate to see her with permanent damage if the doctor made a mistake. Good Luck.
